February

Above are pictures of different things I've done with different clients in February.  From top left to right: "Learning Activities" with Marlow at the library (he's my favorite client), bowling with Marlow, at Damariny's house where I wake her up and encourage her to get ready for the day- she spends some time on the computer watching Tunnel Boring Machines (which she is obsessed with and insists she is a tunnel boring scientist), washing dishes with Damariny at Costa Vida, working in a floral shop with Rileigh, and practicing basketball with Marlow.

On a date

Jared installed this built in ironing board in the laundry room!

I believe this is from the 2nd term.  She is very driven and self motivated and keeps track of all of her classes, assignments, etc. herself.

Nolan's teacher created these pictures for the 100th day of school.  He wrote: "When I am 100 years old, I would take my grandkids to the pool after that I would take them to the park."

Ready to play!

 Dallin at Chess Club.

We took Tucker to the groomer for the first time and we literally didn't even recognize him when we went to pick him up!!
We received SO MUCH SNOW this winter!!!!  And never got those week long breaks of nice weather interspersed here and there, it was just a long, cold, snowy winter!

Teya's been running a Harry Potter Book Club.  She invites everyone, plans all of the crafts and activities, etc.  She has more recently created a Google Classroom for the club and posts Harry Potter quizzes and such.  I don't know who's kid she is.

Tucker suddenly becomes your sweetest, most cuddly best friend when you have a treat...

Jared installing a vent over our kitchen stove and while working on the hole on the outside, it started snowing.  Nice.

Love finding these selfies on my phone.
Helping out at Nolan's class Valentine's Day party.

Running the Heart Attack station at Dallin's Valentine's Day class party.
Dallin is my only kid who is embarrassed of hugs or pictures at school.

From J-Dawg

Calzones I made the kids for dinner before Jared and I went out to eat for Valentine's Day.

We went to Cubby's where they have gluten free hamburger buns.  I got a gardenburger and it was SO GOOD.

My kids LOVE to see pictures of the clients I work with and love to hear all about what I did that day, and Teya kept asking me to take a picture of Damariny so she could see what she looks like.  This is Damariny, the Tunnel Boring Scientist, or Costa Vida dishwasher on the side.

It took me FOREVER to decide what kind of back splash I wanted.  At first I wanted subway tile, then decided on arabesque, and we actually bought that tile, but one day I saw herringbone back splash and knew that was it!  So we took back the arabesque and in February Jared got started on putting it up!  He also installed a vent/fan over our stove- so exciting!

I wish I could remember what this was all about...

 Swimming at the Legacy Center

Recent books I've read.

Dallin about to shoot a free throw.  This basketball experience has been so amazing, he has learned and grown so much!!  And the games are SO exciting!!!

 Progress!
Teya and I each took turns helping Jared with the back splash.  It was a lot of extra work doing the herringbone layout.
Teya makes the BEST gingerbread cookies!!!  I don't even like gingerbread, but these are awesome!

Dal's closest friends, Britton and Tanner, on their way home from our house for a "late night".

More books I've read recently.  These were all VERY good except The Tattooist of Auschwitz because it was poorly written, but still a great story.

January

Trying to play catch up here on my blog, I have no idea if I've posted any of these before but they are the only pics in my January folder, so they're going up!

 Alexa's precious baby!!!

Jared falls asleep constantly, anytime, anywhere (except at work and when driving, luckily).  Here he is asleep while finishing a Popsicle.

Teya and I helped the boys make little pillows one night.  Teya put that weird cloth around Nolan's ear.

Teya took this gem of me suffering through kid fighting at the table.  Shoot. Me. Now.

I got a job!!  I work with people with special needs as a job coach, where I go to their job with them and make sure they know what they're doing, stay on task, etc.  I also take others out into the community to do fun things, work on their independence, etc.  I absolutely love it!  In the picture above, I'm working on a floral shop with a client named Riley.

Teya arranged a temple trip with her friends one weekend and I took them.

 View from our back deck!

Me taking pictures of baby Luke!

Anniversary Surprise!

The day Jared flew home from ND, on Dec. 20th, he told me to pack my bags because we were going on a trip for our  16th anniversary!  He planned out a two day trip for us in SLC!  I was so surprised!
Jared was SO excited about the breakfast at the hotel.  He had researched the hotels he chose from (of course, he researches EVERYTHING before he spends money on it) and read good reviews about the breakfast here.  So funny!
Our first night out to eat at a Mexican restaurant and (dairy free) ice cream afterwards.
When we  came out of the Mexican restaurant, we decided to get the scooters that you can rent from the app on your phone that are sitting around.  Before we found me a scooter, I saw this electric bycicle and decided I wanted to rent that instead!  I kept saying I was worried about riding the stand-up scooters because I just knew I'd fall over riding one, that I'd be crossing in front of traffic in a cross-walk, and then I'd fall right in front of everyone!  Well, as soon as I got on this bike, the seat was way too high and I couldn't reach the ground, so I tried getting off but my leg got stuck coming back over the seat and I FELL OFF THE BIKE!!!!!  Jared and I were laughing SO hard, it was so funny that that was the one and only reason I wanted the bike and not the scooter, and then I feel instantly!!
We LOVED riding the bike and scooter around downtown!!  We rode them back to our hotel and parked them outside the side door of the hotel, and they were there in the morning, so we were able to ride them to go out for lunch and then to get our ONE HOUR MASSAGES that Jared had made appointments for!!!  That was the first time I have ever had a massage (except for when I was pregnant with Teya and had a lot of back pain and they worked on my back).  The massage was a tad painful and I thought I was going to be bruised all over for days, but Jared thoroughly enjoyed his!

SO fun going out alone!!

 Lunch at Denny's
This salad was HUGE!!!  By the way, I was finishing up a health challenge that I did with Virginia (and a bunch of other people, but we were on a team with my old roommate Carda) during this, so I had to count calories, drink 3 liters of water and exercise every day during this trip!!  So Jared and I went to the hotel's gym each night.
Went out to dinner (sushi) and then to a movie (Creed 2).
It was such a great trip!!!
